Allan and Benjamin Gutkin started JAG Development to create communities that are the antidote to suburban sprawl — places where residents can get to everything this great city has to offer, all in a matter of minutes. They’ve partnered with an architect who shares their passion for the city center and modernist design and a landscape designer who understands the delicate balance between Phoenix’s rich history and its exciting future. Together, they’re bringing life back to the heart of the city.

 

Clean, modern design and high quality building materials and finishes are crucial to the JAG vision. This perspective allows them to provide greater, long-lasting value to homebuyers. And, because taste is as individual as it gets, the floor plans within each JAG community are flexible and open and allow each resident to use the space to meet their own needs. At prices starting from the $300s, JAG is giving homebuyers the chance to find affordable, modern housing right in the urban core.

 

For the first few years of business, JAG focused on acquisition of downtown and infill properties. 2005 marked the completion of JAG’s first project Willetta 9. Current developments include downtown projects Portland 38, Evergreen 9 and Roosevelt 11 (with a partner), and central Phoenix development Earll 20. To date, JAG controls over 560,000 square feet of downtown and infill property.
