Michael Underhill – Architect

Noted architect Michael Underhill has lived and worked in Phoenix since 1990. It was in that year that he became the Director of the School of Architecture at Arizona State University. Michael has also served as professor of Architecture at a variety of other institutions including MIT, Rice University and Iowa State University. His professional experience is equally impressive and includes work in the studio of Charles and Ray Eames, the offices of Imre Halasz, CRSS, Taft Architects, and the founding of Cisneros Underhill in Houston. Awards received include five local, state, and regional design awards from the AIA, as well as the coveted PA Design Award.
Michael’s current focus fits perfectly with the JAG Development vision. Michael has a passion for modern architecture that is clean, simple and enables the personality of each homebuyer to shine. And, he also is devoted to designing efficient, low-rise housing that enhances downtown redevelopment of Phoenix. It is this focus that fits so perfectly with the JAG Development vision.
